Trinity Medical Transport Foundation 501c3 will provide comprehensive non-emergency medical transport services to low-income, disabled, and senior residents of California with emphasis on the rural outlying communities, surrounding States and Countries.  We currently added  G.P.S. (Gateway To Perinatal Services) which is a Company that focuses on the needs of Women’s Perinatal needs before, during, and after pregnancy. The goals of the project are to reduce duplication and overlap in human service agency transportation services through strategic partnerships; fill service gaps by providing extended service hours; and provide more efficient service to underserved populations in rural and small urban areas through providing culturally competent and bilingual drivers, professional and safe Gurney & Ambulatory transportation to and from locations. We currently added  G.P.S. Our Partners

Women at Work International (WAWI) is a Non Government Organization Founded By: Halima Namakula  registered in Uganda in 2003 with the mission to enhance the well-being of women and children through reproductive health facilitation and income improvement

WAWI is registered by a group of female Uganda artists Halima Namakula, Annette Nandujja, Sophie Gombya, Angela Kalule, and Rachel Senkebejje, as a way of using entertainment to educate women and children to improve their well being.

Over the years WAWI has worked with over Ten (10) reputable international non profitable organizations like TMTF (Trinity Medical Transport Foundation 501c3), Popular Services International (PSI), The British Council, USAID, AFFORD, and UNILEVER, to mention but a few. And the organization has made a great impact on over half a Million Women all over East Africa and also registered over Three Hundred (300) Members, of which One Hundred (100) Members are still active and are “Pay It Forward”.

WAWI’s major areas of focus are; HIV/AIDS awareness, STI/STD referrals, Family Planning, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Gender based violence, Alcohol and Substance Abuse as well as Economic Development through imparting vocational skills and business marketing and management as alternative income generating activities among women.

Environmental Women in Action for Development (EWAD), formerly Entebbe Women Association (EWA), is a registered National, Non-Governmental Organization that was founded by Margaret Tuhumwire  in 1995 by , and has played an integral role as a partner in the social and economic development of Uganda. EWAD was founded for the exclusive purpose of sharing with the under-privileged, vulnerable and poor individuals, families and communities.

“MISSION“
To help underprivileged women, children and youth overcome poverty and vulnerability through education and life skills training, allowing them to become community leaders and role models for future generations.
We reach out to work and walk alongside communities, schools, local churches, and other community based institutions, transforming lives through development and education.

Since 2002, over 400 orphans and other vulnerable children have been given access to an education through EWAD’s Child Sponsorship Program. Beginning in 2006, dozens of environmental and women’s rights projects have been implemented through EWAD’s Integrated Community Environmental Conservation Projects (ICE-COP).
On-going projects include the construction of an Orphanage Home that will house up to 50 children during the school holidays. Recently, EWAD expanded to include a second-hand Charity Shop, with all proceeds going towards the Child Sponsorship program.

Short story about G.P.S. Founder Mary Mubezi Mercer 
She is a registered nurse for over 20 years with special emphasis in Maternal Health, Pediatrics, and Case Management. She is currently working in hospitals as a MSN Case Manager, with previous experience in Public Health Nursing, Community Health, and a strong advocate for the Black Infant Program in the United States. Mary has a passion for helping women improve health through education and preventative care.

Our services are provided in a culturally positive environment that promotes healthy maternal and paternal behaviors.

Gateway Perinatal Services (G.P.S.) exists to provide knowledge, resources, and perinatal support to all women of childbearing age and their partners before, during, and after pregnancy to improve their likelihood of having healthy pregnancies and delivering healthy babies. Our services are provided in a culturally positive environment that promotes healthy maternal and paternal behaviors.

 

Focus

All women of childbearing age. WAWI, in partnership with G.P.S. (Gateway To Perinatal Services) & Trinity Medical Transport Foundation 501c3, a U.S. based nonprofit, will provide knowledge, resources, and perinatal support to all women of childbearing age before, during, and after pregnancy to improve their likelihood of having healthy pregnancies and delivering healthy babies. Services will be provided through the Gateway Perinatal Services project and will cover:

 

Maternal Behavioral Health
Under the care of the Maternal Health Professional, G.P.S. will deliver behavioral health screenings, one-one counseling services, and group meetings.

I) Family planning
II) The importance of antenatal and post natal care
II) Cervical and breast cancer
III) Managing pregnancy, birth and after birth, causes of maternal mortality and how it can be addressed
IV) Child care especially, breast feeding, nutrition, immunization and awareness about the causes of child mortality for children less than five years
V) Work life balance

Nurse Consultation
Under the care of the Registered Nurse, G.P.S. will identify health risks and provide evidence-based nursing interventions; and passionately advocate for all mothers to receive the best care possible, during, and after delivery of the baby.

Case Management
Under the care of three Community Health Specialists, G.P.S. will deliver assistance with prenatal appointments; nutrition guidance; family planning; lactation assistance; transportation; temporary shelter; referral to WIC services as needed; domestic violence assistance as needed; and more.
